Meet your instructor: Louis Boria

Louis Boria

Louis, aka Brooklyn Boy Knits, gets his inspiration from the diverse culture and style of...

you guessed it...Brooklyn, New York.

As a designer, he loves the constant change and evolution of style and ability to express yourself.

It all started from a dream where Louis vividly remembers knitting and immediately went to a craft store and picked up the bare necessities. From there, he went down the crafting rabbit hole and never looked back.

Although his passion continued to grow, Louis found it extremely hard to shed the stereotypes of who should be knitting and began working on a project on a train.

After someone took notice and posted a photo, Louis' life changed overnight, and is the knitting sensation on your screen today.

BONUS! Louis' Eye of the Storm hat pattern is included in your online course.

"Thank you to Louis Boria for the creative twists he shared in Season 6. Colorwork is my jam and I'm loving a stretchy folded brim with patches these days -- here's a little nod to his class in my latest hat, Fells Cap"

Erika

Susan

"Great class! I am now a "hat person" thanks to Louis. I am also from Brooklyn and I love how he celebrates the borough in his designs. Thank you!"

Susan

Lise

"I am so grateful for the lessons on how to make and/or attach a wool pompom or sew a snap for a true fur pompon to a knitted hat. Yes, there are a lot of useful techniques shown in Louis Boria's KS 6 segment. Basic and practical questions I was always hesitant to ask have been answered. I appreciate the careful planning of the lessons. Thank you so much, Louis Boria! Long life to Brooklyn Boys Knit!"
