Meet your personal color confidence coach: Beata Jezek!

Beata-headshot

Beata Jezek was born and raised in Bratislava, Slovakia and moved to Cork, Ireland in 2005. She is the artist and owner of Hedgehog Fibres, one of the world's leading independent dye brands.

When she lost a job, she became bored and taught herself to knit a sock. She went looking for brighter colors and wasn't happy with what she was finding on the market...so she taught herself to dye!

Beata loves to inspire Yarnies to create their own masterpieces. When it comes to developing new colors, "I want to keep it lively," she says. "I want to keep it human and painterly. I want my dyers to feel like the artists that they are!"

BONUS! Beata gifts you her "Flying Fringe" Scarf pattern developed just for Knit Stars.

This might just become your go-to recipe for making multiple scarves!

Supercharge your creative energy with Knit Stars, the ultimate online learning experience for Yarnies.

I'm Shelley Brander, the founder of Knit Stars, and I know how it can feel to be alone in your creative passion. For my first few decades as a knitter, I was on my own! When, at age 35, I pivoted from my broadcast production career and opened a local yarn store, I saw firsthand how one great teacher can truly change your knitting life.

I created Knit Stars to bring the best teaching to knitters and crocheters around the globe. I used to be afraid to fly, but now I travel to remote locations around the world, taking you directly into the homes and studios of the most brilliant designers and difference-makers.

Now in its 9th year, Knit Stars has become a learning platform like no other. With feature-film quality production, documentary yarn stories combined with workshops you own and can return to again and again. Knit Stars gives us all a place to grow - in confidence and connection.

I personally invite you to join us. Wherever you are in your journey, you truly deserve the Knit Stars Masterclass experience. You and your creativity are worth it!

"It's a beautiful opportunity to learn a lot of different techniques and the fact that you can learn at your own pace and refer back to it when you need to, that's a huge, huge draw because not everybody learns at the same speed."
