Twenty years ago, while raising 3 small children and running a branding agency, Shelley Brander started an improbable side hustle - she opened a yarn store.

You see, ever since Shelley learned to knit at age 16, she was hooked - but lonely. She longed for like-minded, adventurous fiber friends and more meaningful connections.

When Lucy Neatby came to teach at Shelley’s little yarn store, Shelley realized more people should have access to top teachers like Lucy. So she decided she would fly around the world, film Stars in their own home studios, and create cinematic masterclasses so everyone would have a chance to learn from the best.

Now in its 10th Anniversary Season, Knit Stars has filmed more than 120 masterclasses on five continents. With fiber artist devotees in 65+ countries, Knit Stars has changed the way Yarnies learn, connect and grow.
