[SCOOP] Orange you glad…? 🍊

A few months ago, Shelley and her friend, Knit Star Gaye “GG” Glasspie, were chatting about their mutual love of cashmere – specifically, Bespoke 100% Cashmere from Clinton Hill Cashmere!

GG was lamenting that Bespoke Cashmere wasn’t yet available in her favorite color…

🧡🧡🧡🧡 Orange! 🧡🧡🧡🧡

Well, Shelley loves a good surprise…so she called up Rebecca, founder of Clinton Hill…and together they conspired to create the newest color of Bespoke. Drum roll please….

We named the new color “Orange You Glad it’s 2021!” Because, really – aren’t we all glad?! 😆 And Rebecca created an easy scarf pattern with adorable mini-fringe – yours free with the purchase of 4 or more skeins of any color of Bespoke Cashmere.

What could be more exciting than finishing a yoke? We love that moment when you get to the end of the row and smooth out the stitches – admire the pattern, and pat yourself on the back!

“Newleaf” by Jennifer Steingass is a great “first colorwork yoke” sweater, with an easy-to-follow chart and just one contrasting color. You’ll feel like a knitting champ when you see what you can do! Knit in fingering weight, it’s lightweight and versatile with finished bust sizing from 35.25-59.”

We are loving “Newleaf” with Madelinetosh TML + Tweed – a 100% Merino dyed by hand in Texas from wool ethically sourced from South Africa. The soft tweedy flecks dance across this lofty yarn and make a fabric you’ll love to wear.

We had a lot of fun naming our Tosh Tweed colors with an Oklahoma theme – our “Newleaf” is knit in the colors Loopsmobile and Loops Blue! 😃

Loopsmobile is the perfect Main Color to pair with our favorite Contrasting Colors:
Tulsa Spelled Backwards – scandalous red
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot – a seal grey with the blues
Grand Lake – the most terrific teal

You’ll need 1 skein of CC for any size, plus 3 skeins of MC for 35.25″, 4 skeins for sizes 37-45.5″, or 5 skeins from 48.75-59″. This yardage is plenty for the long-sleeved version. Knit with US size 3, 5, and 6 needles.

Quality tools make for quality knitting time.

These little treasures actually make counting stitches a treat!

Pick your favorite today, or forward them on to someone who needs some perfect gift ideas for you! 😉

The Stowaway bracelet is a clean, minimalist, solid stainless steel cuff that has an added attraction for knitters and crocheters – it’s magnetic! What a clever way to corral those metal stitch markers, and keep them handy at the same time.

Stowaway is available in two sizes. The smaller size fits wrists 7″ around and under. The larger size fits wrists 7″-8″.

Choose your Stowaway size here.

We are fervent devotées of Cocoknits stitch markers – there’s a size and type for every occasion! And they are ALL magnetic- so they’ll cling right to the Stowaway bracelet!

With split ring, opening, fixed, colorful, or simple metallic, there is a set of Cocoknit markers waiting to come knit with you.

Pick your favorite Cocoknits markers from our collection here.

No need to drag your bulky needle gauge with you everywhere you knit. Cocoknits has a solution!

This joyous little rainbow stack of connected discs identifies knitting needle sizes US 0-15 / 2-10 mm.

And because Cocoknits is committed to avoiding plastic wherever possible, they are manufactured from PLA, a 100% biodegradable, plant-based plastic substitute!

The discs swivel out and click back together with tiny magnets (which makes it as much fun to play with as use) and the whole rainbow tool is small enough to pop into the Accessory Roll so you’ll never leave home without it.

Hummus Toast is great for a fast lunch or one of those fun family “assembly line” dinners where everyone gets to pile on their favorite ingredients.

Make it super simple with store-bought hummus, or try your hand at this versatile schmear with this recipe from Cookie + Kate!👆🏻

Gimmie Some Oven has a slew of creative Hummus Toast ideas for every taste.

To make hummus toast, simply:

1. Toast up your favorite bread

2. Spread on the hummus

3. Sprinkle on the toppings: Whatever you may be craving, then…
Enjoy! Hummus toast is definitely best enjoyed right away. So dig in!

The sky’s the limit with possible ingredient variations here. But some of our favorites include…

“Everything” Hummus Toast with Everything Bagel seasoning!

Avocado Hummus Toast – add some red pepper flakes or cilantro?

Tomato Basil Hummus Toast – with a balsamic glaze and bonus points for fresh mozzarella

Lox Hummus Toast – look at you, fancy pants 😁
