12 new Stars in the sky 💫
Fifteen years ago, I experienced my first workshop with a star knitting teacher – Lucy Neatby.
My first thought was: “How did I stumble along knitting for so many years without knowing all this?”
My second thought was: “Every knitter deserves access to this level of teaching.”
This is why Knit Stars – the first and only knitting masterclass event of its kind – was established six years ago.
And it’s why I’m inviting you to be a part of this global, all-online event.
From now through May 9, you can sign up for Knit Stars Season 6 at special Earlybird pricing of $199 – that’s $30 off, and comes out to just $18 per workshop! This week, you can also purchase previous seasons at $30 off.

Let’s keep knitting the world together ❤️ 🌎 🧶

Who are your Season 6 Stars? Find out here!
We first fell for Mitchell’s Creations hand-dyed yarns when Tian Connaughton chose Terra Mitchell as her yarn dyer for Knit Stars Season 5. And we were over the moon when Terra agreed to be a featured dyer for our new Hot Loops Wall!
Loops Trooper Rachel fell in love with Mitchell’s Creations’ new base Audubon DK. It is one of our favorite combos – superwash merino and silk – soft, drapey and with enough body for almost anything you could want to knit.
Rachel knit the “Terra Shawl” by Joji Locatelli – yes, named for the dyer herself! It’s pictured above in “Tutti Frutti.” Fans of stitches wave across this airy shawl that is almost identical on both sides – an impeccable design.
With two skeins of Audubon DK and Size 8 needles, “Terra” is a quick and really satisfying project with wear-every-day style.
Audubon DK is also perfect for our Loops original pattern “Put A Ring On It” shown below in “Spring Breeze.” This is one you’ll want to knit more than once – Loops fan Carol has made 12 of them! And the pattern is free upon request with purchase of 2 skeins of Mitchell’s Creations Audubon DK yarn.
Find your favorite Audubon DK hand-dyed color in 11 different options, including our custom color “Broken Arrow” which you can only find at Loops.

Bubbles! Bubbles everywhere! 🛁
When Shelley saw the rainbow of graffiti-inspired colorways that Diane from Lady Dye Yarns dyed up just for us on her DK base, she promptly found the perfect pattern pairing: “Bubble Cowl” by the Knit Stars master of knit-vention – Stephen West.
This cowl is knit in the round and then seamed together to create a thick plush tube. Choose between a hooded cowl that starts with little bubbles and increases into big bubbles or select the simple infinity cowl style.
“At first I was afraid to look at the pattern – it looked complex and I was in the mood for an easy knit. But it’s SO simple,” Shelley said. “Each stripe starts with a single row where you’re picking up a stitch from 6 rows below – followed by 7 rows of knit-knit-knitting in the round. And the finished cowl is super-cozy… you can wear with a light jean jacket and the cowl hanging loosely, or double it up and you’ll stay warm in any weather.”
Your kit includes 1 skein each of six colors of Lady Dye Yarns in 100% Superwash Merino DK – enough to make the long version like Shelley’s or 2 of the short version (shown below on Mr. West).

Do you have a mom in your life with that special creative spirit? Or maybe you are one?
Shelley’s newest book, “Move the Needle: Yarns from an Unlikely Entrepreneur” might just light that spark that’s been glowing inside her. ✨
As a special Mother’s Day gift, Shelley has signed a copy of the book, and is gifting you a magnetic measuring bookmark and a custom yarny light bulb enamel pin when you buy your book from LoopsLove.com (and feel free to add some yarn in to your order… win-win! 😎 )

We won’t keep you long- you’ve got stitches to create! ⏰ So try this 3-Ingredient Goat Cheese Pasta from EatingWell and then get back to it! Try it with gluten free Chickpea pasta for extra fiber and protein!
Ingredients:
4 ounces cavatappi pasta (or your favorite shape)
2 ounces garlic-and-herb-flavored goat cheese
2 cups cooked broccoli florets
Directions:
1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain, reserving ½ cup cooking water.
2. Return the drained pasta to the pot and add goat cheese. Stir until the cheese melts and coats the pasta, adding the reserved pasta water as needed to make a thin sauce.
3. Fold in broccoli. Season to taste with salt and pepper, if desired.
