My dream yarn, your dream price 🥰
Dream a little dream today.
You just never know when it will come true.
When I started a little yarn store 15 years ago, I never dreamed that we’d one day have our own yarn brand.
Never imagined I’d journey up into the mountains of Peru, hang out with these fuzzy fellas at 15,000 feet, and work with a Peruvian company to develop the yarn of my dreams.
Meet Loops Luxe Chunky, my dream blend of 70% Royal Alpaca and 30% silk. In a perfect palette created just for us: Natural, Dark Grey, Pale Peachy Pink and of course, Loops Blue.
Now for the price…
Y’all know I’m always preaching that even beginners should start with the best yarn you can afford. Your time and effort are worth it.
So I’m especially excited that, by working directly with the producer, we’re able to offer this luxury yarn at just $14.99 a skein – about half what you would normally expect for this fiber.
We’re selling Loops Luxe Chunky in 3-packs, the perfect amount to make any one of the patterns in our Starter Series: Jana’s Scarf, the Double-Seed Cowl, or the Effin Scarf.
The Starter Series patterns are free here.
(We’d love for you to share that link with others who’d like to learn to knit! Each pattern has its own instructional video.)
Loops Luxe Chunky can be purchased here.
Have you always wanted to knit something with linen…but were just a bit intimidated? 😳
Maybe worried it would be too stiff in your hands, or so fine that it would take forever to knit up?
“Kestrel” from Quince & Co. overcomes every possible linen objection.
The feel? Fabulous, soft and drapey.
The gauge? Aran – incredibly fast to work up!
And I think I found the perfect pattern for you.
This “Ellis” tank is flying off my needles. With the supercute high-low hem and delicate stripes, I know I’ll wear this all the time! And I’m so obsessed with this gold-and-pink combo right now. (That’s “Lira” and “Tellin” in Kestrel-speak 😉)
Want more of a tee shape? Loops Trooper Mitzi took advantage of Kestrel’s fantastic stitch definition, and knit up Heidi Kirrmaier’s “Flex.” The Flex tee uses simple shaping to form what is more or less a mitered square. The center of the ‘X’ is then shifted toward the front to complete the effect of a “cross front” top, without overlapping or seaming the fabric at the front. Bet you can’t make just one!
Both patterns are on Ravelry.
Choose your Kestrel colors here.
Psssssst another Casapinka free shawl pattern is on the way!
This “sister shawl to Breathe and Hope” is called “The Hug Shot” – so-named by Sharon From Security.
It is an asymmetric rectangle (or “boomerang”) shawl that begins at the small end and ends up with a wide border at the opposite end. There are slipped stitches, garter and stockinette, making it a fairly easy project.
We worked with Emma’s Yarn to develop a special kit that’s now available for pre-order. After you’ve purchased your kit, we will email you a one-time-use free pattern code from Casapinka, which you can use to get the pattern FREE from June 5-7.
For this week’s “More knitting, less cooking” we’ve got more than 1 recipe for you…
How about FIFTY? 😋
Today’s the last day to get BBQ STARS Season 1 at special Memorial Day pricing: Just $197 for 11 workshops, 12 Stars, 50+ recipes and techniques.
I’ve found that people who BBQ feel much the same passion we do about knitting and crocheting. They LOVE creating and experimenting. And their favorite part is sharing their craft, feeding family and friends.
In honor of dads everywhere, we’ve added a Bonus Star workshop featuring new father, Jack Arnold (pictured above with his daughter Naomi). He’ll show you how to make the most amazing Memorial Day burger and give you some great tips.
For example…did you know the pickles should always go on the bottom bun? Neither did I!
Especially this year, BBQ STars is truly the ultimate Father’s Day gift 💕
Get – or give – BBQ Stars here.
With an abundance of caution, Loops will re-open Tuesday, the day after Memorial Day.
We’ll be limiting our hours slightly, open from 10am-6pm weekdays, 10am-5pm Saturdays.
We’ll be wearing masks, and asking that you do the same. Social distancing protocol will be in effect, and there will be lots of sanitizing and scrubbing of counters and hands. For the time being, we won’t be able to accommodate large groups, classes or hands-on knitting help.
We’ll continue to offer curbside and of course, 24/7 online shopping at LoopsLove.com.
We look forward to safely seeing you soon!
Let’s keep knitting the world together 🌎💙
