The irresistible Mr. West 💫

Ask and you shall receive! 🧞‍♂️

Ever since Knit Stars began six years ago, so many of you have asked us to offer Stephen West’s wildly popular workshop from Knit Stars Season 1 as its own standalone course…

So here it is! 💃🏽

In the just-released Stephen West QuickStars workshop, Stephen empowers you with his “Westknits Bestknits” – dozens of the most popular tricks from his in-person classes, combined in one workshop you can watch now, own forever, and refer to again and again.

Stephen will teach you…

🌟 Two-color brioche the simple way
🌟 “Shortcut rows” – an easier version of short rows
🌟 I-cord cast-on, i-cord bind-off and i-cord edge treatments
🌟 Picking up stitches for modular knitting
🌟 Weaving in ends – on brioche, with a whip stitch, braiding
🌟 Creating chunky yarn from your fingering stash
🌟 How to never run out of yarn on a long-tail cast on
🌟 Random “party tricks” to save time and headaches
🌟 Collecting and combining colors
🌟 Styling your shawl with confidence

Plus the QuickStars workshop includes a special version of Stephen’s “Askews Me” shawl – and Mitzi just made up a new version in two on-trend colors from Mitchell’s Fiber Creations, shown on the mannequin below. (Please note that this kit is only available in the Knit Stars Marketplace for those who own the workshop. If you own Season 1, it’s already in your library.)

To celebrate the debut of this QuickStars course, we’re offering it for only $77 – our lowest short course price ever – before Season 1 goes into the vault at the end of 2021.

Click here to get the workshop before midnight Pacific TONIGHT – Sunday, June 20!

Spincycle… Casapinka…What a pairing!

“Yondah Window” by Casapinka is a boomerang shawl that combines one skein of Manos Fino with the long color changes of Spincycle Dyed in the Wool.

If you’ve never tried the slip-stitch colorwork technique, this is the project to start with. The pattern becomes easy to predict. You only use one color on each row. AND THEN the Spincycle changes color for you!

So. Much. Fun!

We’ve curated kits especially for “Yondah Window,” each including one skein of Spincycle Dyed in the Wool and one skein of Manos Del Uruguay Fino. Choose your favorite color pairing:
Spincycle “Idle Nights” + Fino “Ivory Letter Opener” (as shown on model)
Spincycle “Castle” + Fino “Folly”
Spincycle “Castaway” + Fino “Turkish Delight”

Choose your ”Yondah Window” kit here.

What do you do when you can’t pick just one color or just one stitch pattern? Take it all!

“Take it All” by Lisa Hannes includes stripes, garter, eyelets, mesh, picots, easy short rows, and more. It’s one of those “I can’t wait to get to my needles” type of projects.

You will love this shawl with Spun Right Round’s Classic Sock Mini Skein Set and one full skein of Classic Sock. Each Mini Skein set is a cohesive hand-dyed palette that would make a Crayola factory feel relatively drab. 😁

Our version is made with one Spun Right Round Classic Sock Mini Set in “Spill the Tea” plus a single skein of Spun Right Round Classic Sock in “Pigeon” as the main color. Or try the “Crocodile Tears” Mini Set with “Chocolate” as the main color.

These Mini Skein Sets have been so popular that the colors “Cauldron”, “Chalk Paint”, and “Spill the Tea” sold out almost immediately. But we’ve got you covered! We’re making these colors available again on a pre-order basis, and expect to have them available to ship in early July.

“3-Ingredient Chicken Caesar Flatbread” From Eating Well will have your family fed and smiling – and leave you with enough time to knit a few more rows 😏
