Will you dive deep with me? 🏊♀️
BY SHELLEY BRANDER
It’s finally here.
The LAST WEEK OF 2020 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
This is my favorite week of the year, every year. I call it my Deep Dive Week. A week to sink deeply into a project where I learn something new that I can apply in the New Year.
Six years ago, my Deep Dive week led to the idea of LoopsClub.
Two years ago, my Deep Dive was book publishing. Which led to this.
It’s a week for possibility.
So I ask you, dear reader: What’s YOUR “impossible” dream for 2021?
If you’re ready to Deep Dive into the possibility, consider pre-ordering my upcoming book, Move the Needle: Yarns from an Unlikely Entrepreneur.
This is the last chance to pre-order the book, join the Launch Team and get an Advance Reader Copy of the whole book to read in as a PDF, weeks before the rest of the world.
As early reader Carol posted, “You may find you want to read it in one sitting – don’t. Savor it. Between chapters, think about your own life and passion.”
Join the Launch Team here, read the advance copy, and make some space to dream.
I promise: Your time is just around the corner.
We hope you’re enjoying a cozy and joyful – even if smaller and safer – holiday season. ❤️💫

“It’s about a simple cap in a gorgeous yarn.”
That’s what Thea Coleman had in mind when she designed the “One Scotch Hat.”
And you can’t get more gorgeous than cashmere 😍
Lang Cashmere is lofty, light, and oh-soooooo-soft. It’s gathered from the undercoat of the cashmere goat, making it a rare knitting treasure.
Make any size of Thea’s “One Scotch Hat” with 2 skeins of Lang Cashmere Light and Size 5 and 6 needles.
Then for that final touch of elegance, add a fur pom! Bekah is modeling our version in Lang Color 0039 with a natural pom.
The combos we’ve been admiring are shown here left to right: Color 48 with a Black pom, Color 15 with a Natural pom, and Color 72 with a White pom.
Choose your cashmere color here.

What better way to say adiós to 2020 and ring in the New Year than a big ol’ pot of melty cheese? 😛
From The Cookie Rookie comes a recipe with flavor, comfort, and a whole lotta cheese – make Restaurant Style White Queso at home!
Ingredients:
12 ounces evaporated milk (1 can)
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3/4 lb white American cheese (buy it sliced at the deli counter at your grocery store. Then finely chop into small squares)
4 ounces mozzarella cheese shredded
2 tablespoons canned jalapeños chopped, or chopped green chiles
1 teaspoon chili powder (you could also use cumin if you prefer that flavor)
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
chopped cilantro, tomatoes, and jalapeños for garnish
Directions:
1. Heat evaporated milk and whisk in cornstarch. Once simmering, reduce heat to low.
2. Stir in your cheese in batches by the handful. Stir until fully melted, and then add more and stir until all cheese has been added and melted together.
3. Stir in any add-ins, chili powder, red pepper, jalapeños, etc.
4. Grab your chips and ENJOY! Or use it to make good recipes even better – tacos, nachos, or fajitas!
Gettin’ Creative Ideas:
Add in chorizo, mix in hamburger cooked with taco seasoning. Add black beans, corn, or diced tomato for a chunkier dip.
If you have any leftover queso, pour it into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator up to 3-4 days.
